SMART EDUCATIONAL TRUST
The Smart Educational Trust (SET) A Public Charitable Trust formed under Indian Trusts Act. 1882, Registered under Indian Registration Act. 1908, Regn. No. 132/12 and is licensed by the Government of Tamilnadu to provide Education, Practice, Research, Development, Propagation, and Promotion of Alternative Medicines in the medical field. The referred Trust is affiliated to The Open International University for Alternative Medicines and approved by NBAM of India. The Open International University for Alternative Medicines (OIUAM) will issue the Certificate, Diploma, Degree, in Complementary or Alternative Medicines (CAM) to the successful students and the Central Council of India formerly known as National Board of Alternative Medicines (NBAM )will register the name and issue the Medical Registration Certificates as Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) to those who possess the certificate issued by OIUAM and thereby legally qualifies them for Alternative Medical Practice (become a Doctor).
Legality, Validity & Utility of the Training Courses, practice and research in the field of Alternative Systems of Medicines are in Conformity with the constitution of India and laws of the land.
* All courses are approved and recognized by the Senate of THE OPEN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY FOR ALTERNATIVE MEDICINES (OIUAM)
* Successful and trained students of the Board can practice and profess the various systems of Alternative Medicines in India as per rules and regulations of NBAM. Registration from MCI,CCIM & CCH is not required to practice the Alternative System of Medicines (ASM) as per their letters respectively No.MCI 12(1)/2010 med.misc/63131.dt.07.02.2011/CCIM-F.No.20-50/2011(RTI)-VI dt.17.06.2011/No.13-5/2006-CCH-3372.dt.18.05.2011.

All Degrees / Diplomas awarded by “The Open International University for Alternaive Medicines” are Approved as per curriculum of Govt . of India vide Lok Sabha Bill no. 9 of 1997 Under preview of Article 19 (G), 29 and 30 of the Constitution of India to achieve the right of Employment .
OBJECTS OF THE TRUST
1. To maintain cordial relationship and trust among the Members of the Society.
2. To work hard for the promotion of the Alternative System of Medicines and medical treatment recognized by The Open International University for Alternative Medicine.
3. To make the common people and Doctors understand and recognize the importance of alternative medicines and medical treatment recognized by The Open International University for Alternative Medicines.
4. To enable the Students who have studied and obtained degrees in recognized Universities and Colleges where the alternative method of medicines and medical treatment are taught and trained, get them registered in The National Board of Alternative Medicines. To help these Doctors practice the alternative method of medicines and medical treatment through these Board.
5. To educate and advice on higher education and research to these students and doctors by Research Scholars through these The Open International University for Alternative Medicines free of cost.
6. Since the medicines and medical treatment are not freely available to all people nowadays these Doctors who have undergone training and obtained degree at a low cost on alternative medicines and medical treatment through this Open International University for Alternative Medicines have to do free service to people.
7. This Institute gives training, to those who do service through their experience and by ancestral method, on alternative medicines and medical treatment, through experts on these lines, through postal tuition, direct coaching. This Institute by giving training on alternative medicines also enables them to get recognized degree on alternative medicines and medical treatment.
8. This Institute gives coaching and training on alternative medicines and medical training to its members through recognized educational institution on national and international level and awards degree to these trained candidates.
9. This Institute awards membership number to these candidates who have obtained degree on the alternative medicines and medical treatment. Further the Institute maintains Membership Register on national level which is regularly updated. Further disciplinary action is taken on those members whose membership number is properly renewed.
10. This Institute maintains and protects the interest of these members who have obtained degree on alternative medicines and medical treatment till the State\Central Govt. passes separate legislation recognizing this course.
11. Those who have registered themselves as members in this Institute are entitled to do practice giving treatment on alternative medicines to patients and also issue Medical Certificates to patients for having gone treatment under them.
12. Those who have registered with this Institution are entitled to do practice on alternative medicines and medical treatment. These practitioners cannot be punished for functioning as fake doctors either by the State Govt., Medical Organization or Police Department as long as they do the alternative medicine practice and follow the Code of Ethics of the Institute.
13. Those who have registered with the Institute for practicing have to follow the code of conducts of the Institute including as and when the same is amended. If any of the members is found guilty of misconduct proper disciplinary action will be taken against him by the Institute and his membership will be cancelled.
14.. The members have to meet the people in the public personally and educate them the sanitary conditions.
15. The members must organize international forum and educate the public on alternative medicines and benefits of the alternative medical treatment.
16. The members of the Institute have to meet the Central and State Govt. Officials and organize meetings for the development of the organization on national and international level.

Our OIUAM and NBAM is running without financial supports of State or Central Government of India.
